Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase, installation, and use of Lumey Energy's solar power products. By accessing or using our products, you agree to comply with these Terms in full.

2. Product Use

• Lumey Powerboxes are intended for personal, commercial, and residential electricity supply.

• Products can be charged via solar panels, the national grid (NEPA), a generator, or wind (where applicable).

• Users agree to operate the product strictly according to the manufacturer's manual.

• Misuse, exposure to water, system overloading, or unauthorized system integration may void the warranty.

• Modifications, third-party repairs, or alterations without Lumey's consent are strictly prohibited.

3. Ownership & Title

• Ownership remains with Lumey Energy until full payment is received.

• For installment plans, Lumey reserves the right to repossess or deactivate the product in cases of non-payment or breach of agreement.

• Ownership is transferred to the customer only upon complete payment.

4. Warranty & Repairs

• All Lumey Powerboxes come with a 12-month limited warranty from the date of delivery or installation.

• Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship only.

• Warranty does not cover damages caused by: Power overloads, Liquid ingress, Unauthorized servicing, Physical damage

• To make a warranty claim, customers must present proof of purchase.

• Non-warranty repairs will be charged, and a written cost estimate will be issued beforehand.

5. Installation & Maintenance

• Lumey Energy or an authorized technician will carry out product installation unless otherwise agreed.

• The customer must provide safe access and a suitable environment for installation.

• Customers are responsible for maintaining their systems following the provided manual.

6. Payment & Pricing

• Payment is due as agreed upon in your invoice or product agreement.

• Prices may change at Lumey's discretion, but once a purchase is confirmed, the price remains fixed for that transaction.

7. Returns & Cancellations

• Products can be returned within 3 days of delivery if unused and in original packaging.

• A restocking fee may apply (typically 5% of product cost).

• Custom-built or special-order products are non-returnable.

• Cancellations are allowed within 3 days of deposit. After this, a cancellation fee of 5% may be deducted.

8. Limitation of Liability

• Lumey Energy is not liable for: Indirect losses, Business interruption, Appliance damage due to misuse, Environmental hazards beyond our control

• Maximum liability is 50% of the product purchase price.

9. Force Majeure

Lumey Energy shall not be held liable for non-performance due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: Natural disasters, War or civil unrest, Epidemics/pandemics, Power or fuel scarcity, Acts of God, Regulatory changes

10. Compliance with Laws

Customers must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations governing solar installation and usage. Obtaining permits (if required) is the customer's responsibility.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

• We collect customer data such as full name, phone number, address, product details, and purchase date.

• This data is used for warranty registration, product updates, future support, and internal analytics.

• We do not share personal data with third parties without consent, except as required by law.

• Your data is stored securely and used in compliance with Nigerian data protection laws.

12. Upgrade Policy

• Customers on eligible plans may request product upgrades.

• The value of the existing Powerbox (based on life cycles used) will be deducted from the cost of the higher-capacity model.

• Upgrade approval is subject to product inspection and usage evaluation.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

• These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

• Any dispute shall be resolved first by mediation. If unresolved, arbitration shall take place in Akure, Ondo State, by a neutral third party.

14. Amendments

Lumey Energy reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website or sent via official communication channels. Continued use of the product constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
